My name is Saskia ter Welle. For as long as I can remember, I have loved working with my hands. Although studying at university seemed like the natural path, I eventually found my way back to my true passion — fashion. But not just any fashion. I am drawn to the world of couture: where time, attention, and the finest materials come together to bring out the best in the maker, the fabric, and the woman who will wear it. I believe that people deserve to be seen and understood. My language is fabric.
I drape, pin, and shape until the form feels right for the person in front of me. There are no shortcuts — each step in the process matters.
Creating couture takes time, and in a world that moves fast, I see time as the greatest luxury of all. Taking time to listen, to fit, to refine — that’s where the magic of true craftsmanship lives.
Welcome in my atelier — my happy place, where I work in peace and focus on creating your dream outfit. With soft jazz or classical music in the background, I draw inspiration from our conversations, from art, and from nature.
I take time to listen: who you are, who you want to be, what matters most in your life, and the occasion you are preparing for. Together, we explore the colours that complement you best and the silhouettes that bring balance to your natural proportions.
From there, your design begins to take shape. We select the finest fabrics and materials, and after you have fitted the first toile — made in unbleached cotton — the garment is further developed in the final fabric. If you wish, we can add couture embroidery or a three-dimensional technique to make it even more special.
